INTRODUCTION

Nexdel is a research-driven editorial platform dedicated to publishing deeply analytical insights on global affairs, technology, economics, culture, and emerging industry trends. Our mission is to connect decision-makers, industry professionals, and informed global audiences with expert perspectives that provide clarity on complex and consequential issues.

This Contributor Policy sets out the terms, expectations, rights, and responsibilities that govern the relationship between Nexdel and all individuals who contribute written content to the platform. It applies to all contributors regardless of their field, location, or the nature of their engagement.

By submitting content to Nexdel, contributors confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out in this policy.

  1. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

This policy applies to all individuals who contribute original written content to Nexdel, including but not limited to expert contributors submitting analysis pieces in their professional field, guest contributors invited on a one-off or occasional basis, regular contributors engaged under a Letter of Engagement, and any individual whose work is published on nexdel.org or any associated Nexdel channel.

This policy does not apply to Nexdel’s internal editorial staff, whose terms are governed by separate employment arrangements.

  1. NATURE OF THE CONTRIBUTOR RELATIONSHIP

Contributors engage with Nexdel as independent professionals, not as employees, agents, or partners of the platform. Nexdel does not exercise control over contributors’ time, working methods, or professional activities outside of the specific content submitted for publication.

This policy does not create an exclusive arrangement. Contributors are free to write for, consult with, or contribute to other publications and platforms, provided no direct conflict of interest arises with Nexdel’s editorial scope or reputation.

There is no obligation on either party to offer or accept any minimum number of contributions unless expressly agreed in a separate Letter of Engagement.

  1. EDITORIAL STANDARDS

3.1 What We Publish

Nexdel publishes deeply analytical, evidence-based pieces that go beyond news reporting to examine implications, strategic risks, emerging trends, and future outlooks. Articles should reflect the contributor’s professional insight and provide value to an informed global audience.

3.2 What We Do Not Publish

Nexdel does not publish news reports or press release rewrites without original analysis, opinion pieces without supporting evidence or reasoned argument, promotional content or paid advertorial disguised as editorial, content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or legally actionable, content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, or plagiarised and AI-generated content submitted as original human analysis.

3.3 Length and Format

Articles submitted to Nexdel should typically be between 2,500 and 5,000 words. Shorter or longer submissions may be considered at the editorial team’s discretion. All submissions should be written in clear, professional English and structured to guide the reader through the analysis logically.

3.4 Tone

The Nexdel editorial tone is analytical, forward-looking, and evidence-based. Contributors should write as subject matter experts offering insight, not as journalists reporting events or commentators offering unsubstantiated opinion.

  1. SUBMISSION AND EDITORIAL PROCESS

4.1 Topic Agreement

Topics are typically proposed by Nexdel’s editorial team based on current developments within the contributor’s field of expertise. Contributors may also suggest topics or angles for consideration. No topic proceeds to draft stage without mutual agreement between the contributor and the editorial team.

4.2 Submission

Completed drafts should be submitted to contribute@nexdel.org in a standard editable format such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Contributors are encouraged to include any relevant sources, data references, or contextual notes alongside the submission.

4.3 Editorial Review

Upon receipt of a submission, Nexdel’s editorial team will review the piece for accuracy, structure, tone, and consistency with the platform’s editorial standards. Light edits may be made to improve clarity and readability. The contributor’s voice, core analysis, and intellectual framing will be preserved throughout the editing process.

4.4 Contributor Approval

Following editorial review, the contributor will receive the revised version for their approval before publication. No article will be published without the contributor’s explicit written sign-off. Contributors may request further amendments at this stage, and the editorial team will work to accommodate reasonable requests.

4.5 Right to Decline

Nexdel reserves the right to decline publication of any submission that does not meet its editorial standards, contains factual inaccuracies, or falls outside its editorial scope. In such cases, the contributor retains full ownership of the unpublished piece and is free to publish it elsewhere.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

5.1 Ownership of Content

Contributors retain ownership of their original ideas, analysis, creative expression, and intellectual content as embodied in each submitted article. Nexdel does not claim ownership of contributor content.

5.2 Licence Granted to Nexdel

By submitting a piece for publication, the contributor grants Nexdel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, promote, and archive the article across the Nexdel website and any successor platform, Nexdel’s social media channels and newsletters, partner distribution networks where Nexdel content is syndicated, and any archived or reference collections maintained by Nexdel. This licence does not transfer ownership of the content to Nexdel and does not prevent the contributor from republishing, referencing, or adapting their own work in other contexts, provided Nexdel is credited as the original publisher where applicable.

5.3 Restrictions on Nexdel

Nexdel will not sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer contributor content to third parties for commercial gain without the contributor’s prior written consent. Any use of contributor content beyond the scope of the licence described above will require fresh agreement.

5.4 Contributor Warranties

By submitting content to Nexdel, each contributor confirms that the submitted work is entirely original and has not been published in substantially the same form elsewhere without prior disclosure to Nexdel, that the content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party including copyright, trademark, or database rights, that the contributor has the full legal right to grant the licence described in Clause 5.2, that the content does not contain defamatory, unlawful, misleading, or harmful material, and that where third-party sources are referenced or quoted, this is done appropriately and within the bounds of fair use or with proper attribution.

  1. CONTRIBUTOR CREDIT AND PROFILE

All articles published on Nexdel will appear under the contributor’s full name. Nexdel will promote published articles across its channels and may tag or reference the contributor in related social media activity. Contributors will be notified in advance of any such activity where reasonably practicable. Upon onboarding, contributors will receive a Nexdel Expert Contributor graphic for use across their own professional and social media channels to announce their contributor status.

  1. REMUNERATION

7.1 Current Position

Contributions made under this policy are currently unpaid. Nexdel is in an active growth and development phase, and all contributions at this stage are made on a voluntary basis in exchange for professional credit, visibility, and platform association.

7.2 Transition to Paid Contributions

It is Nexdel’s stated intention to transition toward commissioned, paid contributions as the platform scales commercially and achieves defined growth milestones. Nexdel’s internal target is to review and introduce a remuneration framework within approximately eight months of this policy’s effective date, subject to platform development and commercial viability. This timeline is provided in good faith and does not constitute a binding financial commitment.

7.3 First Consideration for Existing Contributors

When a paid contribution model is introduced, existing contributors in good standing will be given first consideration and advance notice of the new terms before any public announcement. Any transition to paid contributions will be communicated in writing and will require fresh agreement from the contributor before taking effect.

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY

Contributors agree to treat any non-public information shared by Nexdel in the course of the contributor relationship as confidential. This includes but is not limited to editorial strategies, platform development plans, contributor pipelines, commercial discussions, and internal communications. Nexdel similarly agrees to treat any personal, professional, or commercially sensitive information shared by contributors with discretion and will not disclose such information to third parties without consent, except where required by law.

  1. ACCURACY AND FACT-CHECKING

Contributors are responsible for the factual accuracy of the content they submit. While Nexdel’s editorial team will review submissions, the platform is not in a position to independently verify every claim, data point, or assertion made in contributed articles. Contributors are encouraged to cite sources, reference data, and provide context that supports the analytical claims made in their pieces. Where a factual error is identified after publication, contributors are asked to notify the editorial team promptly so that a correction can be issued.

  1. CORRECTIONS AND RETRACTIONS

Where a factual error or material inaccuracy is identified in a published article, Nexdel will work with the contributor to issue a correction notice. In cases of serious inaccuracy, misleading content, or content that violates this policy, Nexdel reserves the right to retract the article following consultation with the contributor. Contributors who become aware of errors in their published work are encouraged to notify the editorial team at contribute@nexdel.org as soon as possible.

  1. CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Contributors are required to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest in relation to the topics they write about. This includes financial interests, employment relationships, or personal associations that could influence the objectivity of the analysis. Nexdel does not publish content that serves as undisclosed promotional material for any organisation, product, or service. Where a contributor has a relevant relationship to the subject matter of an article, this must be disclosed to the editorial team prior to submission.

  1. SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS

Contributors are welcome and encouraged to share their published Nexdel articles across their own social media and professional channels. Nexdel will provide suggested captions and branded graphics to support this activity. Contributors should not make public statements on behalf of Nexdel or represent themselves as speaking for the platform in any official capacity. Contributors may identify themselves as Nexdel contributors in professional contexts.

  1. DURATION AND TERMINATION

The contributor relationship has no fixed end date and continues on a rolling basis unless either party gives written notice of termination. Either party may withdraw from the relationship at any time without penalty, provided reasonable notice is given where a piece is already in progress. Upon termination, any articles already published will remain on the platform under the existing licence. Nexdel reserves the right to immediately suspend a contributor relationship in cases of serious policy breach, reputational harm, or conduct that is materially inconsistent with the platform’s editorial values.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

This Contributor Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from the contributor relationship that cannot be resolved amicably between the parties shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

  1. AMENDMENTS TO THIS POLICY

Nexdel reserves the right to amend this Contributor Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform’s operations, editorial standards, or legal requirements. Contributors will be notified of any material changes by email with a minimum of 14 days’ notice before the revised policy takes effect. Continued contribution to Nexdel following notification of an amended policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Contributors who do not agree with the amended terms may withdraw from the contributor relationship without penalty.
