Intellectual Property Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: March 13, 2026
OVERVIEW
Nexdel is a strategic intelligence and content platform. Everything we produce — from editorial analysis and research reports to podcasts, visual content, and commissioned work — represents significant intellectual investment. This policy sets out how Nexdel’s intellectual property is owned, protected, and used, and how we respect the intellectual property rights of others.
This policy applies to all content published on nexdel.org, produced under the Nexdel brand, or created in the course of any engagement with Nexdel as a contributor, partner, or client.
- OWNERSHIP OF NEXDEL CONTENT
All original content produced by Nexdel’s editorial team, staff, and contracted writers — including articles, reports, analysis, briefs, podcasts, video content, graphics, data visualisations, and platform design — is the intellectual property of Nexdel unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This includes content published on nexdel.org, content distributed across Nexdel’s social media channels and newsletters, research and intelligence reports produced under the Nexdel brand, and commissioned content where Nexdel holds the agreed rights as specified in the relevant contract.
Nexdel’s name, logo, brand identity, and taglines are protected marks. They may not be reproduced, adapted, or used in any context without Nexdel’s prior written consent.
- CONTRIBUTOR CONTENT
Contributors who submit original work to Nexdel retain ownership of their ideas, analysis, and creative expression. By submitting content for publication, contributors grant Nexdel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, promote, and archive the work across Nexdel’s platform and associated channels.
This licence does not transfer ownership to Nexdel. Contributors may republish or reference their own work in other contexts, provided Nexdel is credited as the original publisher where applicable. Full terms governing contributor content are set out in the Nexdel Contributor Policy.
- COMMISSIONED AND CLIENT CONTENT
Where Nexdel is engaged by an organisation to produce research reports, impact documents, white papers, policy briefs, or other communications content, intellectual property ownership is governed by the terms of the written agreement between Nexdel and the client.
Unless otherwise specified in that agreement, the client owns the final delivered work upon full settlement of any applicable fees. Nexdel retains the right to reference the engagement for professional portfolio purposes unless the client requests confidentiality, in which case this will be respected in full.
Nexdel retains ownership of any underlying methodologies, frameworks, templates, or structural approaches developed independently and applied in the course of the engagement.
- THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND FAIR USE
Nexdel respects the intellectual property rights of third parties. Where our content references, quotes, or builds upon the work of others, we do so in accordance with applicable copyright law, fair use principles, and proper attribution standards.
We do not reproduce substantial portions of third-party content without permission. Where third-party images, data, or materials are used, appropriate credit is provided. If you believe Nexdel has used your intellectual property without proper authorisation, please contact us at the address below and we will respond promptly.
- USE OF NEXDEL CONTENT
Readers and users may share, link to, or reference Nexdel content for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes, provided clear attribution is given to Nexdel and a link to the original source is included where possible.
The following uses are not permitted without Nexdel’s prior written consent: reproducing Nexdel content in full or in substantial part on any external platform or publication, using Nexdel content for commercial purposes, adapting or repackaging Nexdel content as original work, and using Nexdel’s brand, name, or visual identity in any context that implies endorsement or official association.
Organisations wishing to license, republish, or syndicate Nexdel content are welcome to contact us to discuss terms.
- DIGITAL AND PLATFORM RIGHTS
All software, platform architecture, design systems, and digital infrastructure developed by or for Nexdel remain the exclusive intellectual property of Nexdel. No part of the Nexdel platform may be scraped, replicated, reverse-engineered, or reproduced without express written permission.
- REPORTING AN INFRINGEMENT
Nexdel takes intellectual property infringement seriously, whether it involves our own content or the rights of others. If you believe any content on the Nexdel platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us with the following information: a description of the work you believe has been infringed, the location of the allegedly infringing content on our platform, and your contact details. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
- POLICY UPDATES
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in law, platform operations, or the nature of Nexdel’s work. Material updates will be communicated clearly. Continued use of the Nexdel platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
